Built in 1879 and standing 41 feet tall, the picturesque structure, popularly known as Nubble Light, attracts visitors to York, Maine, to view and photograph the historic structure. A picture of Nubble Lighthouse was placed onboard Voyager 1 among a cadre of images display earth's iconic structures.
